ONE of the nation's favourite trains steamed through Warrington today, Tuesday.
The world famous locomotive has been reported as moving south from the East Lancashire Railway in Bury after spending the winter months having maintenance works.
It is heading to London ahead of a series of trips over the coming months starting with a one-way trip to Scarborough from London’s King’s Cross station on Thursday.
Recommended viewing points or timetables for the much-loved train are not normally published beforehand due to fears platforms will be overcrowded.
It is thought the Flying Scotsman will leave Manchester Victoria at 11.14am before heading through Warrington Bank Quay at 11.55am.
