LABOUR north west MEP Wajid Khan discussed the 'enormous challenge' Brexit poses during his visit to Warrington as part of a region-wide tour.
The politician made his way to the town last Friday to speak to members of Warrington North Constituency Labour Party.
He said: "Brexit is an enormous challenge, with the sands ever-shifting in the negotiations.
"It is my mission to keep the Brexit negotiations, and European Parliament in general, open and accessible to everyone – so I have been touring the north west to speak to Labour Party groups about it.
"I was delighted to visit Warrington and discuss Brexit and my work in European Parliament with Labour Party members.
"We had a thoughtful discussion about the impact of Brexit on the economy, jobs and our future relations with other countries.
"Labour's Brexit policy is one that puts jobs and the economy first: the needs of workers and businesses must be put before the damaging, ideologically-driven hard Brexit to which many Conservative MPs are holding Theresa May.
"That is the challenge facing us all and I was pleased to spend an evening with members to listen to their thoughts on it."
