MOBILE tea emporium Room Forty will be hosting a one-off event to celebrate National Tea Day by raising funds for the British Red Cross.

It will be teaming up with designer kitchen company JD Kitchens, on Gorsey Lane in Padgate, for a morning of breakfast and baking demonstrations on Saturday April 21.

The date, which also coincides with Room Forty's second birthday and the Queen's 92nd, will be free with all donations going to charity.

Jennifer Perry, from Room Forty, said: "We do like to be ambitious, so rather than just a cuppa and cake we're going to do breakfast with pancakes, porridge and fresh bread and home-made jams and marmalades.

"We'll be getting hands on with the fabulous NEFF slide and hide ovens and baking a few bits and pieces too, so prepare for the delicious aromas."

Room Forty, based in Woolston, offer hand crafted afternoon tea services, high tea and vintage china hire, delivered to homes, workplaces and venues across Warrington.

Baking demonstrations and breakfast on the day will be available from 9am to 1pm.
