FIREFIGHTERS attended a fire believed to have been started deliberately in Mary Ann Meadows park last night, Sunday.
One fire engine arrived from Warrington station at 9.20pm at the park on Westbrook Way.
On arrival the crew discovered that the fire involved loose refuse.
Firefighters used water to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for around 10 minutes.
It is believed that the fire was started deliberately.
Cheshire Police have been notified of the incident.
