A 38-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court this afternoon accused of brandishing a metal bar in Padgate.
Lee Horabin, of St Mawgan Court, was charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place following his arrest on Wednesday.
He has also been charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty and two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
Police were called to the scene at 4.30pm after a number of cars were damaged in the area.
Horabin is expected to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday.
A 40-year-old woman, from Warrington, who was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, has been released without charge.
