Fire at Sankey Recreation Ground
A FIRE at a playground at Sankey Recreation Ground is being treated as arson.
One engine from Warrington attended the scene, off Samuel Street in Sankey Bridges, at 8.50am today, Thursday.
Crews discovered that the fire involved several small bins.
They used water to extinguish the flames and were at the scene for around 20 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately, according to firefighters and Cheshire Police have been informed.
