A DOG owner whose pet was attacked in a Warrington park is warning others to be vigilant.
The owner, who does not want to named, was walking her 12-year-old Labradoodle in Queen's Gardens on Friday at around 12.50pm, when it was attacked by two Bullmastiffs.
The dogs were said to be off their leads and were 'kicked by their owner' in an attempt to free the Labradoodle.
The Labradoodle was taken to a nearby vets where it received treatment for five wounds, including injuries to its upper back.
It has been put on a course of antibiotics and is unable to leave the house for the next 10 days.
The Labradoodle's owner said: "What would have happened if it was a child or vulnerable adult?
"It could have been a lot worse – I just want other dog owners to be wary.
"I hope we prevent a tragedy."
