SCHOOLS in Warrington have received hoax bomb threats believed to be coming from the US, the council has confirmed.
More than 400 schools across England have received the emails 'claiming a device has been planted and demanding cash' today, Monday.
Police say threats contained in the emails are not credible and evacuations are unnecessary.
A council spokesman added: "A number of schools contacted the council and police this morning after receiving an email concerning a bomb threat.
"Police investigated and concluded that there was no serious threat.
"In every case the schools followed the correct safety and security protocols."
