MANCHESTER indie giants James are to play Parr Hall in a bid to visit some of the area's intimate venues that they have not performed at in many years.

The seven-piece will be in Warrington on Thursday, May 17.

It is part of their first run of dates in the UK since the success of their 2016 release, Girl at the End of the World, which reached number two in the charts, second only to Adele.

Tim Booth said: "After the intimacy of the Manchester Albert Hall gig we decided to try a small tour of smallish venues. We'll see you in the mega domes later in the year."

A fan ticket presale starts on Wednesday, March 21, at 9am for those on James' mailing list.

If you are not already on the mailing list you have until 10am on Monday to register here.

The general sale starts on Friday, March 23, at 10am with tickets expected to go fast.
