FIRE crews were called to Morrisons in Wilderspool this morning after a fire alarm was activated in the store.
Firefighters arrived at the supermarket on Greenalls Avenue, at 10.50am and as a precaution, the store was quickly evacuated.
Crews discovered a small amount of smoke in the roof but after an investigation, there was no sign of a fire.
Two fire engines attended the scene, one from Warrington and one from Penketh.
