VISITORS are being invited to join the rangers at Walton Hall and Gardens for a unique experience walking the alpacas.

Events will start with a brief educational talk, when visitors will be introduced to the zoo's three resident alpacas - Jim, Topaz and Mally.

Visitors will then be invited to walk the animals around the park, stopping on the way for photos.

The experience is estimated to take around an hour, with up to two alpaca available for bookings per walk.

The Andean alpacas joined the Children's Zoo in 2015, when they were bought by the Friends of Walton Estate group, and have been training for the past year in preparation for the walks.

Prices are £22 for one adult or one adult and one child.

Children must be eight years or older.
