A GREENGROCERS has closed less than a year after moving out of Warrington Market.
Rigby’s was first established in 1952, and opened its new premises in the former Topshop store on Sankey Street in June 2017 ahead of Warrington Market moving into its new temporary building.
The shop – Rigby’s Finest Fresh Foods – boasted its usual fare of fruit, vegetables and flowers alongside wines, barista coffees, fresh takeaway foods, a gourmet delicatessen and a cheese counter.
But the store shut its doors suddenly on Monday, February 26.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Rigby’s said: “Due to circumstances out of our control, our shop is now closed.
“Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you to all our loyal customers.”
