But it is not the first time fans have been able to enjoy some unusual entertainment.
Here is some of our favourites from years gone by:
A regimental ram
The wolves won't be the first live animals to take to the turf, this ram was the mascot for this regiment which marked Heroes Night in 2011
Musical memories
Plenty of singers have warmed up the crowd before the game. Two highlights were the town's winner of The Voice Uk, Mo last year. And who could forget Jedward in 2010. The one on the left looks delight to be in Warrington...
Dancing with Wolves
From community dancers to cheerleaders, a pom pom is never too far away
Wolfie
From bringing mrs Wolfie along to throwing a plastic chicken into the crowd, Wolfie can always be relied on for entertainment.
Hard to beat seeing him riding round on a hovercraft though
Or pulling down his pants
Celebs:
Stuart Pearce, Chris Evans, Johnny Vegas, Stuart Broad and even lovely Claire Balding. A familiar face is never far away
Junior rugby:
Nothing gets the South Stand going like a good game of junior rugby. A great try or big hit can get bigger cheers than the first team game
