CAMPAIGNERS are gearing up for an objection rally ahead of Monday's full council meeting.
The Communities United Against the Warrington Western Link group is holding its latest rally to 'voice opposition' to the authority's proposed bypass, as well as the local plan preferred development option (PDO).
Campaigner Cindy Maguire said: "The purpose of this rally is to ensure that the elected officials of our town are under no illusion that we do not support their plans.
"Bring your banners, placards and make your voices heard.
"Let's make this the biggest demo to date."
The council is among nine authorities battling for Government funding for the controversial £212.74 million Western Link project.
It submitted its outline business case to the Department for Transport at the end of December, with a decision due to be made before summer.
Publication of the draft local plan has been delayed because of the high volume of responses submitted during the PDO consultation.
It is planned to be out in autumn at the earliest, or winter at the latest, before a further public consultation.
Residents turned out in force to protest against the Western Link and local plan at the Town Hall ahead of a full council meeting in October.
The rally on Monday is due to begin at 6pm.
