A MAN was arrested overnight on suspicion of impersonating a police officer to 'advise a motorist about their driving'.
The suspect was detained in Seaforth by police shortly after the force launched an investigation into the allegation.
It is alleged the man had been stopping motor vehicles using a motorcycle fitted with blue lights as well as advising a driver regarding their driving.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "The quick thinking of a member of the public allowed us to make enquiries to identify a suspect and make this arrest."
