POLICE are investigating reports a motorist pointed a gun at a van driver in Lymm on Monday.
Officers were called to Whitbarrow Road at 12.30pm after a road rage dispute between two people.
Police say the driver stopped his car and got out of the vehicle to remonstrate with the van driver.
He then pointed a small gun in his direction before leaving in the car.
Following a number of enquiries a car was stopped in the Manchester area.
Two men, from Manchester, were arrested.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply a class B drugs.
The 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs.
The 20-year-old was released without charge while the 22-year-old was released under investigation pending further enquiries.
