TYRES, rubbish and a gas cylinder have been dumped on Silver Lane in Risley after 14 caravans and associated vehicles left the site.
The travellers vacated Woolston Neighbourhood Hub last Thursday but then set up camp on a Silver Lane.
Police officers have been made 'aware' of damage to the gate and a crime report has been submitted although no arrests have been made in relation to this.
On Monday morning, the council confirmed that the group left the site, only to set up camp on Olympic Park in Birchwood.
However, the authority will now be required to begin a clean-up operation to clear the mess.
Marks and Spencer at Gemini Retail Park has also now been fully vacated following a ‘wedding’ at the encampment on Friday.
