FIRE crews were called to a house on Runnymede, Woolston on Tuesday night.
One engine attended from Warrington station and another from Lymm at 5.30pm.
The fire was caused by a grill pan and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews were in attendance for 30 minutes.
