COMEDIAN Charlie Hale has become an ambassador for an armed forces charity in the town centre.
The Cinnamon Brow funnyman has taken up the role with the Armed Forces Community Support Hub, which is based in The Gateway, on Sankey Street.
He said: "The work of the charity is something I have always heard about.
"It is about raising awareness for the people, who have been in the forces, that are in need help.
"My dad served in the Second World War.
"Many people come out of the forces and struggle to handle it after seeing all of the atrocities."
