WARRINGTON Wolves will play in the UK’s first competitive disability rugby league match this weekend.
A team from the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation will face off against a Leeds Rhinos side at the Asics Stadium at Victoria Park at 1pm on Sunday, February 4.
Australian comedian Adam Hills, host of Channel 4’s the Last Leg, will play for the Wire having been instrumental in setting up the team.
His co-presented Alex Brooker will be supporting Leeds.
It is hoped that the foundation’s team will be able to travel to Australia to play a game against Hills’ boyhood club South Sydney Rabbitohs later this year.
Donations to the running of the team are asked in return for entry to the match.
