THREE wins and a draw across four senior teams made it a productive weekend for Warrington Hockey Club.
Kate Connolly, Emma McCue and Sally Fraser were on target for the women’s firsts in their 3-0 win over Alderley Edge’s thirds, a victory which moved them three points clear of the relegation zone.
The second team won 2-1 at home against Whitchurch’s firsts, with Vicky Stout and Molly Rudd providing the goals.
Despite falling behind to promotion-chasing Keswick, the men’s firsts hauled themselves back into contention and Andrew Gould’s leveller ensured a 1-1 draw.
The men’s seconds came out on top against Whitchurch, with Gavin Brown breaking the deadlock before Rich Taylor secured the points and a 2-0 victory.
