ABANDONED and neglected cats in Warrington will receive a boost thanks to a charitable drive by the owners of an oven-valeting business in the town.

Ovenu Warrington is collecting donations of food, blankets and toys throughout January for feline welfare charity Cats Protection.

While on client appointments, Paul and Andrea Clark, owners of Ovenu Warrington, will be collecting donations to support the Cats Protection’s Warrington Adoption Centre in Padgate.

Mr Clark said: “We are always very supportive of worthwhile causes and have a strong affinity with animals in our household, so supporting Cats Protection was a no-brainer.

"As we unwind from the hectic festive period, the weather is cold and these cats and kittens are still in the shelter waiting for their forever homes, so any donations – a blanket, food or a toy – makes a big difference.

“Cats Protection volunteers do a fantastic job in rehoming neglected and abandoned cats, as well as caring for them day in, day out, and hopefully the kind donations from our customers will provide a welcome boost at the end of January to the charity and centre.”
