A MAN needed surgery after suffering a fractured cheekbone and nose following a fight in Culcheth.
Investigations are ongoing after the attack on December 2 at The Cherry Tree pub on Common Lane between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
Violence erupted after an argument broke out between the 48-year-old victim and three men sat next to the main door of the pub.
The incident then spilled outside and the man was assaulted by one of the three men, leaving him with a fractured cheekbone and nose.
PC Maurizio Lucchesi said: “This assault has resulted in a really nasty injury which required surgery.
"We are appealing for witnesses who were in the pub, or who might have seen something outside the pub on that night to come forward."
