POLICE are urging residents to check their outhouses, garages and sheds in the Padgate and Bruche as the search continues to find Keith Taylor.

The 76-year-old went missing from his home on Connaught Avenue in Padgate on Friday.

Insp Matt Lagar said: “We’re into the third day and, despite our best efforts, we have still yet to trace Keith’s whereabouts.

“Your response has been tremendous and we thank you sincerely for your assistance in our search.

“We are continuing to ask you to keep your eye out for Keith - check your gardens and outhouses. If you have CCTV or dashcam footage please check it for any sightings.”

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and have been out over the weekend alongside the constabulary’s specialist search teams, dogs and the police helicopter, Cheshire Constabulary Specials, and volunteers from Cheshire Search and Rescue in an effort to find Keith.

As a precaution the underwater search team is also assisting due to canals and rivers being close by.

Insp Lagar added: “There is no suggestion that he has fallen into water, it is a line of enquiry that has to be followed to ensure we are doing everything to find Keith”.

Keith was last seen by his family at his home address in Padgate at 7.30am on December 15 and has not been seen since, despite an extensive search by officers.

There had been a further sighting at 2pm on December 15 on Connaught Avenue and officers are continuing to follow up other possible sightings made by members of the public.

He is described as 5ft 4ins, white, with grey hair and a moustache.

He is likely to be wearing jeans, which are frayed at the bottom, and a navy Regatta zip-up jacket.

He is frail and sometimes walks with a stoop.

Anyone with information can call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 786 of December 15.
