CHRISTMAS arrived early at the Shannon Bradshaw Trust after the community centre was transformed into Santa’s grotto.

Around 45 children, aged between two and 13, were treated to a visit from Father Christmas as well as Disney favourite Minnie Mouse and Warrington Wolves’ mascot Wolfie during the party on Sunday at the centre on Meeting Lane, Penketh.

Patti Bradshaw, who set up the charity after experiencing first-hand the effects of having a child with a life-threatening condition, said: “It was a fantastic day as we really go all out and spoil the children.

“The Warrington composite branch of Unite also paid for around 20 children from St Joseph’s Family Centre to come as well as donating gifts.

“This is the third time we have held the Christmas party and it was a great success.

“The parents and children all left really happy and with smiles on their faces.”

Since 2002 the Shannon Bradshaw Trust has been raising money through fundraising events which have helped many sick children and their families throughout the north west.
