POLICE officers used a captor incapacitant spray to help detain a man at a town centre homeless shelter.
Officers were called to the shelter after receiving reports of a man being in possession of a metal bar and making threats to staff.
Officers arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
A captor incapacitant spray was deployed during the arrest to help officers bring the suspect under control.

- Meanwhile, officers have reported a busy morning in Warrington, with eight suspects in custody on suspicion of offences overnight.
