RAINBOW’S Zippy and George are bringing a bit of festive mischief and mayhem to the Trafford Centre as one of the main attractions at Winter Wonderland.

Former Bridgewater High School pupil Tammy Silcock, whose family have five generations of fairground experience, hosts the UK’s largest indoor Christmas theme park at EventCity every year – and it launches this Saturday.

There is the chance to meet Santa and his elves plus real reindeer, enjoy numerous shows, rides and fairground stalls and get merry at a German bar.

As well as Rainbow’s Zippy and George, highlights include The Ice Princess Show with characters from Frozen, Jedi Knight training, Daisy and Ollie from Cartoonito and a Christmas Circus.

You can even try out your own circus skills in special workshops or create your own models in the interactive building block zone.

Pip Ahoy also returns to Winter Wonderland after its popularity last year.

Pip will be bringing a little bit of Salty Cove to Manchester where you can forget about the cold weather and play with real sand or relax in a deckchair.

Winter Wonderland is now in its fifth year and features more than 70 family rides and attractions under one roof.

Tammy, from Appleton, has also chosen to carry on her tradition of giving away £50,000 worth of tickets to north west children's charities.

Charities whose work benefits disadvantaged young people and bereaved families were invited to apply for free passes for the exclusive opening event.

Tammy, of Kingpin Events, said: “Winter Wonderland is coming back to Manchester for 2017 with lots more festive fun, and we are extremely excited to once again be able to welcome north west charities.

"It is always a very humbling event for all involved in previous years and our guests always enjoy being the first visitors to enjoy the Winter Wonderland experience."

Weekend has teamed up with Tammy and Kingpin Events to give away three family tickets (for up to five people) to Winter Wonderland.

The winners can attend the Christmas attraction on a day of their choosing.

To enter, simply answer the question: What high school did Tammy Silcock attend?

Send your answers along with your name, address and phone number before noon on Monday, December 18, after which three winners will be selected at random.
