AS Christmas festivities get into full swing a charity is reminding people to sign up as soon as possible to have post festive trees collected from their home.

The fundraising team at St Rocco’s, which raised more than £24,000 from this January’s collection towards patient care, is hoping the 2018 collection on Saturday, January 6 will be bigger and better.

The charity says there will be a record number of companies and organisations supporting the collection including BT Skips, Ecoshred, Jewsons, Nomenca, Orangeries of Cheshire, SP Energy, Today Team, Torus, Trinity Facilities Management, Urban Building Projects and Warrington Borough Council

A get together of all those involved was held at Grappenhall Christmas Trees, who help to promote the event.

Lauren Tilston, fundraising manager at St Rocco’s said: “We are absolutely delighted  that so many members of the business community have given us support for this year’s collection.

“Not only those collecting on the day but all the tree sellers who will be helping by handing out information to members of the public as they buy their trees.”

If you would like to sign up to have your tree collected, don’t delay.

Last January’s collection  proved so popular that all the slots were filled before collection day.
