POLICE are appealing for information after a woman in her 50s was robbed by two men in a shopping centre car park.

Cheshire Police yesterday received reports of a robbery at Birchwood Shopping Centre believed to have taken place at around 1.45pm on Tuesday, November 14.

The woman was walking to her car when two men approached the 51-year-old and demanded her handbag.

As she placed the bag in the boot of her car, one of the men took it.

After a struggle between the victim and the offender, the woman fell to the ground and the men ran off with cash.

One man is described as being white and of a skinny build, while the other man also had a slim build.

Both are believed to be from eastern Europe.
