MUSIC fans have reacted angrily to secondary sites selling Neighbourhood Weekender tickets for inflated prices just days after the festival sold out.

The Warrington Guardian reported on Friday that day and weekend tickets for the first festival at Victoria Park for more than 20 years had completely sold out within hours of going on general sale.

Around 25,000 revellers with be attending the festival, featuring headline performances by Noel Gallagher and the Courteeners, each day on May 26 and 27 next year.

But over the weekend many fans were disappointed to see tickets being sold on secondary site Get Me In for double or triple their face value.

Weekend passes were originally on sale for £95 with day tickets costing £49.50 plus booking fees.

Warrington Guardian:

Screenshots from secondary sites show a number of tickets being sold for up to £163 plus a £30.39 processing fee bringing the total price up to £194.39.

Weekend tickets were also on sale for an eye-watering £297 each.

One music fan wrote: "When is somebody going to do something about this?

"It's an absolute rip-off!

"Why are these sites allowing tickets to be sold so soon after the event has sold out and for such ridiculous prices. It's outrageous."

Ticketmaster, who runs secondary site Get Me In, was contacted for a comment but has not yet responded.
