AUTHOR Douglas Smith will be holding a signing of his new book The Winwick Witch and the Golden Pig this weekend.
The dad-of-two will be making an appearance at the Trebaron garden centre in Winwick on Saturday and Sunday.
Douglas, 73, will be signing copies of his book, which was inspired by the carving of the pig on St Oswald’s Church in Winwick.
The children’s book is set ‘in the olden days when kings ruled, witches flew and pigs ate porridge’.
He has also recently spoken to children at Westbrook Old Hall Primary School about the remarkable story.
