A JAZZ bar in Warrington has closed down around 16 months after opening in the town centre.
The owners of Anima Jazz Bar on St Austins Lane confirmed the news on the company's Facebook page.
The notice read: "Closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience."
The jazz bar was opened by Warrington couple Tano Caracciolo and Sarah Henly last summer.
Their aim was to make jazz more accessible and for Anima to be a hub for music lovers across the north west.
The venue also doubled up as an Italian restaurant with food freshly prepared by head chef Umberto Le Pera.
But despite the closure it appears it may not be the end of the road for the owners after hinting on social media that there may still be a future for the jazz bar at a different location.
Posting on Facebook, Sarah said: "We just weren’t making the money we needed to pay bills.
"It was a huge space, many said it was too good for Warrington which I strongly disagreed with, and although we had started to get a great deal of interest in it it turned out to be a little too late.
"Watch this space though, not deleting the page for good reason."
The owners of Anima Jazz bar were contacted directly by the Warrington Guardian for a comment but have yet to respond.
