A FIRE in a chip shop caused road closures in Padgate yesterday evening.
Marsh House Lane was shut by a fire at the Captain's Table shortly before 6.30pm on Friday.
Two fire engines attended the incident and were on scene for more than an hour an a half.
The road closure has since been lifted, with the fire concerning a range cooker in the building.
