FANCY a meal out with the family this October half term but don't want to break the bank?

School's out next week so here's five places in Warrington where children can eat free or for £1. 

1. Mr Lau's, town centre

The Dim Sum bar and Chinese restaurant has launched a new offer just in time for half term. 

Groups visiting the restaurant on a Sunday between 12 and 10pm can take advantage of the Kids Eat Free promotion where children under 8 eat free when dining from the banquet menu.  

Banquets include nibbles, soup, starter, main, dessert and coffee.

For every adult dining from the banquet menu a child will be able to eat free from the children's menu. 

The offer runs until Sunday, November 26 2017

Warrington Guardian:

2. Ego, Stockton Heath

Available Monday to Friday next week until 6pm, youngsters can have one free Little or Junior Ego two course meal per adult main course ordered. 

Options include pizza, chicken dippers and sea bass followed by ice cream or a warm chocolate brownie. 

Every Little or Junior Ego diner will also get a Mediterranean-inspired kids pack to enjoy.

3. Frankie and Benny's, Gemini

Register with Frankie & Benny's Rewards or download the restaurant's app to get one kids' meal (main, two sides, dessert and a drink) free when an adult main meal is purchased from the main menu, every day until October 31.

Menu options include the mini meatball burger trio and mini grilled chicken skewers followed by ice cream sliders or a mini strawberry freakshake.

4. Toby Carvery, off Winwick Road

Head to their website to download a voucher which entitles you to children's main meals for £1.

This will allow up to two children per party to have a main meal for £1 per full paying adult. 

This does not include drinks and cannot be used at breakfast.

It's valid from Monday to Saturday until October 28.

Other than the carvery, the children's menu for under 10s includes sausages in a giant Yorkshire pud or shepherd's pie followed by make your own sundae or a mini apple crumble.

5. Harvester, Riverside Retail Park or Gemini

Visit the Harvester website from now until Sunday, November 5 to get a voucher allowing you to get a kids’ main meal for £1 when you buy an adult main course.

There's a menu for ages seven and under and a menu for older children which includes build your own wrap or bbq chicken followed by rocky horror sundae or build your own cookie dough brownie.
