A SCHEME has been launched to help vulnerable people feel safe when they are out and about in the town centre.
Stores displaying a Safe Places sticker have specially trained staff to help anybody who feels at risk. The project means support is available to people if they feel threatened, intimidated or bullied.
Anybody with extra needs can apply for a Safe Places card. This can then be shown in any participating store, including coffee shops, banks and supermarkets.
To sign up for a card or to register your business as a Safe Place call Pip Horne on 248472 or visit warringtonspeakup.org.uk/safe-places.
