HUNDREDS of joggers braved the elements at the weekend as Warrington Parkrun marked its 200th race.
Around 500 runners took part in the milestone 200th free 5k race at Victoria Park on Saturday, October 7.
Warrington Parkrun has been held in the park every weekend since January 2014.
The heavens opened as runners of all ages set off from the start line at 9am, but enjoyed the Saturday morning jog undeterred.
Saturday also marked the 13th birthday of the original Parkrun, when 13 joggers laced up their running shoes for a jaunt around a park in London.
Since then the concept has spread across the world, with hundreds of races - including 2k runs for children - taking place every Saturday and Sunday.
