THE countdown is now on for the return of the annual Brainwave Santa Dash following the launch of the charity fundraiser.
The 5k dash will take place at Birchwood Shopping Centre on Dewhurst Lane on December 10, starting at 9am.
Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s.
A three-piece Santa suit will be provided for adults while children will receive a Father Christmas hat.
Brainwave was set up to help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence.
This can include improving mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of educational and physical therapies.
Money raised through the 5k race will help the team to continue their great work.
Paul Hubble, from the Orbit Developments, added: "We are pleased to sponsor this year’s Birchwood Santa Dash and assist Brainwave in raising essential funds to continue their great work in helping children with disabilities and additional needs across the north west.
