Firefighters called after wheelie bins torched
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a series of wheelie bin fires in Bewsey and Whitecross believed to have been started deliberately.
Crews put out fires at several wheelie bins on fire on Delamere Street at around midnight on the night of Thursday, September 21.
Police also attended the incident. Anyone with any information is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 104 of September 22.
A few hours later crews also tackled a nearby bin fire on Bostock Street shortly after 5.15pm.
There was also a wheelie bin fire at a playground on Samuel Street, Great Sankey at around 6.30am yesterday morning.
