THERE was the sweet smell of success - and freshly bathed dogs - as pet groomers celebrated breaking the world record for the most pups washed in a single day.
Pets at Home in Winwick took part in the national event which saw the team pamper a total of 58 pooches on Saturday.
Staff helped smash the world record with 5,468 dogs bathed across the country and all profits from the event went to an animal adoption charity.
