A LATCHFORD businessman has vowed to help an aspiring Paralympian fulfil his dreams of competing in the Tokyo 2020 games.

For every sale made, GH Nutrition has pledged to donate £1 to the Bradley Gleave chair fund.

Paralympic-hopeful Bradley, from Great Sankey, currently holds the title of UK’s strongest man with cerebral palsy.

The 23-year-old is raising funds for an RX Force Racing wheelchair, to enable him to compete in 2020.

Founder of GH Nutrition Grant Hodnett, 35, said: “Brad’s a very strong lad and we’re keen to sponsor him having learned about his story and how much it’s going to cost for his chair.

“Hopefully this will be good for the town and good for him and hopefully we’ll be able to help him fulfil his dream.”

GH Nutrition have also set up donation points in nearby churches, to collect money for their initiative ‘Raise the Bar for Brad’, as well as holding a raffle.

Grant added: “James Taylor, former England cricketer, has agreed to donate one of his signed England shirts which we will auction and put money towards the chair.

“We don’t want to alienate anybody – we’re one of those brands which supports men and women of all races and people of all abilities so it made sense to help Brad.

“We want to support the people who are important to us, that’s the message we’re trying to get across.

“Due to the time that we’ve got we want to push it as much as we can because we want to try to contribute a significant amount of money.”
