CHECK out modern day and vintage fire stations during open days this weekend.
Both Warrington and Penketh Fire Stations will host events this coming weekend.
Penketh Fire Station, which opened in February, will host its first open day from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
On the day the Widnes Road station will be hosting road safety demonstrations and a firefighters’ display. Colleagues from the ambulance service will also be there to give first aid demonstrations.
Modern day and vintage fire engines will be on display and there will be a raffle raising money for the Firefighters Charity.
Warrington Fire Station is open from 10am to 4pm on Sunday meanwhile.
There will be a demonstration of a line rescue, road traffic demonstration, defibrillator demonstration as well as face painting, go carts and a raffle.
Area manager Lynsey McVay said: “This is a great way for the community to discover more about their fire stations.
"We would like as many people as possible to come along to the open days, have a great time and leave with some vital fire and road safety messages.”
For more information about the free event call either Warrington Fire Station on 411310, or Penketh Fire Station on 790100 or visit the website at cheshirefire.gov.uk.
