A WOMAN has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of a resident at a care home in Burtonwood.
Marie Seyferth, of Preston, is accused of attempted to murder a 68-year-old resident at St Mary’s Continuing Care on Penny Lane in May last year.
Ms Seyferth, 68, denied charges of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon at Liverpool Crown Court today, Monday, via a video link.
Police were called to the care home shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, May 18 2016, following an attack in which the victim was stabbed multiple times in the back, neck and face.
A four-day trial will take place at Liverpool Crown Court in February next year.
