TRAVELLERS have set up camp on Centre Park near the town centre.
The group arrived onto the Warrington Guardian's car park, on Cygnet Court, over the weekend with four caravans and associated vehicles.
The council has visited the private site and is speaking to the landowner.
A spokesman said: “We have made contact with the tenants who are liaising with their landlord with a view to employing bailiffs to evict the encampment.”
The group left the site at around 4.25pm today, Tuesday.
