A CHARITY champion from Winwick has vowed to help adults living with autism and complex learning disabilities.

Jenny Allcock is inviting women to join her at Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford for a ladies lunch as part of her charity Creating Adventures.

Inspired by her work at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust near Lymm, Jenny set up the charity in June 2016 to help enrich to the lives of adults over the age of 18 with additional needs.

The 39-year-old said: “For many, age is merely a number.

“They still want to enjoy many of the activities they will have enjoyed as a child but are not available as an adult or deemed to be socially acceptable.

“Creating Adventures is about breaking down those perceptions and barriers that exist in the community and giving adults in need the activities that they want to enjoy – activities which will offer them an improved quality of life.”

The long-term aim of the charity is to build a centre which will house activities including a sensory garden, care farm, market garden and picnic areas.

She added: “Our ladies lunch is all about raising funds to enrich the lives of adults with autism and complex learning difficulties.

“Events like this are essential in helping to spread awareness of our cause and help to improve the health and wellbeing of so many adults in our region.

“We had a fabulous response to our ball in the Spring and I hope our community will once again show their support.”

Tickets are priced at £45.
