A 29-YEAR-OLD man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following the death of amateur football stalwart Richard Percival has been released under investigation.
Mr Percival, 71, was found dead at his home on Dixon Avenue in Newton-le-Willows on Friday.
It has since been confirmed that he died after suffering a blow to the back of his head.
A 29-year-old was arrested on Monday but police have confirmed today, Tuesday, that he has been released pending further investigation.
