AROUND £1,000 was raised as part of the golden jubilee celebrations at St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary School in Burtonwood.
To mark the occasion, parents, pupils and staff hosted a street party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the school at the Milnthorpe Road site.
Guests were invited to dress in 1960s costumes and take part in a range of activities.
There was also a barbecue, bouncy castle, face painting and glitter tattoos.
A school spokesman said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our golden jubilee street party.
“The children had a fantastic time and there was a really happy, family atmosphere. We believe we raised in the region of £1,000 for our school which is amazing.”
