BLUEPRINTS to transform a former charity shop into a hairdressers in Padgate have been given the green light by planning chiefs.

An application to turn the shop unit on Padgate Lane into Sui Generis Hair and Beauty Salon were given the go-ahead at the development management committee meeting last Wednesday, August 9.

While concerns were raised over issues surrounding parking in the area, a highways expert told the committee that there would be ‘no material difference as far as parking requirements’ if the change of use was granted.

Deliveries can be accommodated to the back of the shop.

The only alteration proposed to the outside of the building was the addition of a roller shutter at ground floor level to the front.

The proposed opening hours were also reduced to 9am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday.
