CHEERFUL children have been inventing their own crazy robots.

As part of a summer programme of activities, the young inventors visited Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, browsing the exhibitions for inspiration before bringing their ideas to life with the help of staff.

The pupils let their individuality shine through with their colourful and unique creations.

The museum runs a series of ‘crafternoons’ throughout the year with extra activities during school holidays.

Each event is free for families to attend. All art supplies are provided and the scheme aims to introduce young people to some of the museum and gallery’s fascinating collections.

Every session has a relevant theme, with recent projects to make funky sunglasses, paper crocodiles and design a time machine.

The events run from 10am until 2.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during school breaks and from 1pm to 3pm on Saturdays.
