RECKON your train is always delayed?

If you feel like you spend a chunk of your working day standing around on station platforms looking at your watch, you might like to know just how likely it is you'll be getting into the office on time.

After it was announced this morning millions of rail users in the UK will see a 3.6% increase in rail fares from January 2018, we have taken a look at just how punctual some of the most popular routes out of Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay are.

Using the website My Train Journey, we investigated the best train for commuters to catch heading into Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road for 9am and their most likely routes home...and the results were not good.

The site uses historic performance information provided by National Rail.

For this investigation, we checked how many times trains were either one or five minutes late over the past month.
