CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue is looking for exceptional men and women to join their service.

And if you think you have got what it takes to work hard as part of a team in emergency situations, now is your chance to sign up.

Residents are invited to apply for full time or on-call roles and to start the process, applicants only need to answer a few simple questions.

Chief fire officer Paul Hancock said: "Our mission is a simple one, to be an outstanding service where there are no deaths, injuries or damage from fires or other emergencies and we are looking for exceptional men and women with a wholehearted commitment and willingness to work hard as part of a team.

“Working for a modern fire and rescue service offers an exciting and rewarding career and we want to recruit people with a real commitment to improving the safety of their community.

"Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has transformed in recent years to become one of the best performing and innovative fire and rescue services in the country, acknowledged by many awards and accolades."

Applications from women and ethnic minorities are welcome and Mr Hancock added that he hopes the new recruits can reflect the range of communities they serve.
